KIz Kulesi
literally means "Maiden's Tower" in Turkish. The name comes from a legend: the Byzantine emperor heard a prophecy telling him that his beloved daughter would die at the age of 18 by a snake. So he decided to put her in this tower built on a rock on the Bosphorus isolated from the land thus no snake could kill her.

Described by some as a miniature Dolmabahce Palace but without the crowds, the Beylerbeyi Sarayı (Beylerbeyi Palace) was commissioned by Sultan AbdĂŒlaziz to act as an imperial summer residence. With 24 rooms, 6 halls, and a hamam, it would have been quite the summer home, and was also used to entertain visiting dignitaries.

Ortakoy
Seen from the Bosphorus cruise, the Bosphorus coastline on the European side resembles a string of villages, each with their own individual character and attractions, and indeed thatâs just what it was. Located between down-to-earth BeĆiktaĆ and chichi KuruçeĆme, Ortakoy does what its name suggests and positions itself somewhere in the middle (orta köy means âmiddle villageâ in Turkish).

Best trip of Istanbul
ManojnaS2, 03-11-2022
We were on this cruise in the month of November. Jeremy was our English guide. We were well intimated about the meeting point and boarding timings in advance . Kerem was fantastic . Very good English communication and he was knowledgeable about the history behind Istanbul culture. The tour management provided was with lots of drinks and snacks which tasted great. I would recommend this trip to anyone and also this one of my best tripâs in Istanbul.
Great boat, lovely views. Below average staff.

After making the booking, a few hours before departure, some girl called me to say because of a problem with the boat, the captain won't be going on a cruise, and if I wanted to move my booking to another day. I said I couldn't as I was leaving, so they cancelled and refunded my money.
I went to the pier in the afternoon anyway to try my chance at finding any other cruises in person in the hopes of having this experience before I left. To my surprise, I saw a girl holding up this company's sign looking for clients.
When I confronted her about my booking, she was really caught off guard and surprised as she wasn't expecting me to show up obviously, and made up a story about the problem being fixed after they cancelled my booking. I was pretty upset, and in the end, she was able to sort it out and get me my place back in the boat, however, it was a pretty dodgy experience. My guess is they wanted to cancel my spot so they could fit in a bigger group or something. Not that reliable for people with limited time in Istanbul and fixed schedules.
Then the nice spots at the front of the yacht were immediately taken by some couples who just ran for it, which are the best spots to take photos. The staff did not manage to rotate seats/positions at all, so I just had to have an awkward conversation with them to take a couple of decent photos.
Stunning views, nice snacks, poor commentary

The views are amazing, the boat comfortable and the snacks and drinks are just right. However as it was the second time we did such a cruise, we can compare the experiences and can say that we were slightly disappointed this time with the commentary. Although the guide spoke good English and was generally knowledgeable he a) spoke too quickly which through the sound system was not understandable and b) his humor was not adapted to the audience making very weird jokes all the time. This resulted in no one really listening at all. In my opinion itâs important to adapt your speech to the audience, make it more interactive. The cruise itself is an amazing way to discover the city!
