Great Tour of the best features of Cappadocia

Erkan and his staff were very responsive and accommodating. Communication was fast and efficient, and they even helped me with changing my flight to Cappadocia to accommodate my incoming flight into Turkey at a different airport.
Overall, the 2 day tour of Cappadocia was great, we checked the most important features of the area, and enjoyed very tasty food. The hot air balloon ride is extra but it is an absolute must. This is a one in a lifetime experience and the best place to do it is in Cappadocia. Erkan will help you arranging it. A word of advice, though tipping for this activity is not mandatory, the crew from the hot air balloon will very publicly ask for it and promote it, which can be felt somewhat coercive in a group setting. I was going to tip anyway but just putting it out there. The average tip was 100TL or $10 dollar/euro.
The only dissapointment of the tour was my hotel stay. I was supposed to stay in an authentic cave room but my room was just a regular hotel room with regular walls. While the room itself was clean and the staff were helpful, this isn't what was sold to me or what I was expecting. The next day, talking to other people from the tour, it seems like I was the one who did not get a cave room. Additionally, the shower head in the shower wouldn't stay in the right position, and it had visible black mold in it, so I had to shower with one hand holding the shower head. There was also no hot water, barely lukewarm. It would appear that hotel selection is random, but you definitely want to check with Erkan beforehand that you will get a cave room. I stayed at the Empire Cave Hotel, FYI, but the only thing "cave" about it was the name.
Overall a great 2 day tour experience and would recommend.

Excellent arrangent in a short notice. Although the air balloon ride was cancelled due to bad weather, the tour was still very much enjoyable. I defnitely recommend.

The 2 day Cappadocia tour was absolutely amazing! I took many stunning pictures, and the tour guides were very informative and helpful. I'd also like to thank Erkan for being really helpful and responsive to any questions I had!

Erkhan and his team were extremely informative and helped facilitate a wonderful experience for me in Cappadocia. Once I paid, everything from my hotel pick up in Istanbul to my drop off at the airport in Kayseri was taken care of for me. They even customized my itinerary so that I could fly to Antalya from Cappadocia.
Cappadocia and Balloon Ride is a must!

I almost didn't go to Cappadocia on this trip, but I'm very glad I did. What an amazing place and NOTHING can beat that Balloon Ride! Wow! It's a must!
I'm not usually one for tours but travelling solo I thought I would give it a go it was convenient for the most part given I wasn't hiring a car this trip. My email to Travel Store Turkey regarding tour availability was answered quickly.
Pick up was prompt for the airport. Sandwich on the flight was greatly appreciated.
Pick up from the airport in Kayseri was chaotic, the bus was jam packed and the driver wasn't very friendly.
The tour was though Hados Travel Turizm. The guides were good. We were only 15 after airport run.
I was told the wrong pick up time for my Hot Air Balloon, no big drama, I was almost ready but I just had to pee behind a small mound while the Balloon was being prepared.
Return hotel transfer absolute shambals, add to that my flight was to SAW. I was given the wrong (and limited) information regarding the transfer to my hotel. After being told to wait while different people were checking one hour passed before someone had my name on their list, but through another company. Ultimately he was helpful and found that my reservation had been cancelled. Finally the travel agent answered the phone and told me to take a taxi and they will reimburse the money for the transfer. It was not the smooth transition I was hoping for and became a very late night and disappointing end to the trip.
After discussing it in the morning Erkan (Travel Store Turkey) rectified the error and reimbursed me the taxi fare and booked me a transfer to the airport to leave Turkey the next day. I appreciated the service recovery and it tells me they care about our experience on their tours.
Just a few points that would have been good to know before booking:
- Be mindful of hidden fees - taxes were not included in the price.
- The luggage allowance for my flight was only 15kg and this was not informed beforehand. As I am travelling for 2 months mine was 22 plus 1kg of Turkish Delight. If I realised sooner I could have tried to leave something in the hotel in Istanbul..luckily it was cheap to pay for the excess in Turkish Lira.
Overall it was a great trip! Mostly smooth and an amazing place!
